Howdy! And welcome to Dallas. The BBQ is better, the summer is hotter and yes, everything’s bigger in the Big D. From sports and entertainment to schools, museums and nature, Dallas is everything you could want in a hometown. So saddle up and we’ll show you around our city.

Sports | The Dallas Cowboys aka “America’s Team” have been named the most valuable team in the NFL, and here in Dallas, we are Cowboy Nation. Opening up just down the road from our Frisco store, the Cowboys’ new training facility and headquarters will be the home field for many of the Frisco ISD schools next season. But we’re not just football fans here in North Texas. Come spring, we take a trip from Jerry’s World down the street to Globe Life Park to cheer on our Texas Rangers all while supporting our Dallas Mavs, Stars, and the FC Dallas soccer team.
Entertainment | If you’re looking for a good time, look no further. Dallas is the epicenter for all things fun. From concerts to rodeos, to theme parks, restaurants and bars, you’ll find it here in North Texas. The American Airlines Center is home to our Mavs and Stars but you’ll also be able to catch a good show at the downtown arena on a Saturday night. There’s entertainment for the kiddos as well between one of the best zoos in the country- the Fort Worth Zoo– and Six Flags over Texas. There’s plenty of family fun across the metroplex.
Schools | Whether you’re looking for an education from one of the top music schools in the country or earning the best business degree out there, Dallas is home to some of the best colleges and universities. Located just North of DFW, the University of North Texas is among the top 5 music education programs in the country. The Texas Christian University Horned Frogs have their roots buried in Fort Worth and are ranked as a top 100 Best Colleges by U.S. News. Known best for their engineering department, the University of Texas at Dallas is located in Richardson, just down the street from one of our NG stores. Closest to the heart of Dallas, Southern Methodist University has one of the most beautiful campuses in the country and proudly offers one of the top-rated business degrees from the Cox School of Business.
Museums | There’s a wealth of knowledge to be gained here in Dallas from visiting all of the museums of art and history. The Perot Museum of Nature and Science offers hands-on learning experiences for all ages. Visit the Dealey Plaza and Sixth Floor Museum to learn about the life, death and legacy of President John F. Kennedy. The Dallas Museum of Art and the Kimbell Art Museum in Fort Worth both showcase thousands of pieces from international art collections. If you’re looking for more history, The George W. Bush Presidential Library and Museum is on SMU’s campus and contains the former president’s library, a museum and even a replica of the Oval Office.
Nature | In the midst of our concrete jungle, we have some really beautiful places to take in mother nature. Right in the middle of Uptown and Oak Lawn you’ll find the beautiful Katy Trail. Built on an old railroad line, the trail has become an iconic destination for the people of Dallas. Enjoy a boat ride or canoe on one of our beautiful waterways from the Trinity River to White Rock Lake. We may be a big city with lots of toll roads, but there’s plenty of nature to get lost in within the city limits.
We’re proud of our city and what it has to offer. Have any favorite places that didn’t make our list? Feel free to share below!
