PLACES WE LOVE .... ADDISON, TX BY KAITLIN LOVERN

Located just north of Dallas, the commercially-driven city of Addison provides a unique lifestyle for those who call it home. It’s location along the Dallas North Tollway gives residents an easy commute to both downtown Dallas and Frisco, while still remaining an affordable and exciting place to live. From retail to residences to restaurants, Addison is definitely one of our favorite places to be in the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex.

LIVE:

Allegro Addison Circle – This apartment complex is hard to miss from the Dallas North Tollway as it sits prominently along the southbound lanes. The Allegro Addison Circle offers a variety of floorplans to rent in the heart of Addison’s stylish nightlife.

Fiori on Vitruvian Park – Apartment living meets resort luxury at the Fiori on Vitruvian Park. Residents enjoy 24-hour concierge services, private garages, biking trails and resort-style pools. This luxury apartment community creates a relaxed atmosphere from the stresses of everyday life.

PLAY:

Addison Circle Park – Addison is known for more than just its commercial economy. It is home to Addison Circle Park, where some of DFW’s most exciting events and celebrations take place. People travel from all over the metroplex to attend Taste Addison, Kaboom Town and Oktoberfest.

Bowlmor Lanes – Need a reason for some good old-fashioned fun? Bowlmor Lanes features upscale bowling, laneside dining and a variety of games perfect for kids and kids-at-heart.

SHOP:

The Village on the Parkway – The Village on the Parkway is the perfect place to buy a new wardrobe, grab dinner and then catch a movie. The onsite AMC Theatre features those incredibly comfy recliners at an affordable price compared to its competitors.

Galleria Dallas – While it’s technically located in Dallas city limits, we count this world-class mall as an Addison staple. The Galleria Dallas is the place to go for upscale department stores, boutiques and restaurants. Don’t forget to let your inner Michelle Kwan free on the famous ice skating rink in the center of the mall.

SNACK:

Mercy Wine Bar – Grab a glass or two and relax at Mercy Wine Bar. With over 100 wines by glass alone, there is guaranteed to be something for everyone. Mercy Wine Bar also includes French and Italian cuisine along with live entertainment Wednesday through Sunday.

Mad Batter Baker – For those with a sweet tooth, Mad Hatter Baker has it all (but really, they do!). Choose from cupcakes, brownies, cheesecakes, cookies, muffins, tartlets and even dessert-inspired dog treats for your canine companion.

DINE:

Public School 972 – This chef-driven gastropub gets an A+ when it comes to food, drinks and atmosphere. Public School 972 will take you back to the playground with its school-themed décor throughout the restaurant. Our tip: order the Bacon Cheddar Tots with Sriracha Ketchup. You will not be disappointed.

Queen of Sheba – Take a trip out of your comfort zone and experience the taste of East Africa. Queen of Sheba features authentic Ethiopian-Italian cuisine served family-style. Hospitality is the Ethiopian way of life, and owners Berhane and Elsa Kiflom will have you quickly feeling part of the family.
